The 24th and final episode of the Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken 3rd Season (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3) television anime announced a fourth season and a second movie following its broadcast on Friday.
The third anime season adapting Taiki Kawakami‘s manga adaptation of Fuse and Mitz Vah‘s isekai fantasy light novel began airing on April 5. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with multiple subtitles and dubs.
Produced by animation studio 8bit, the first season aired in 24 episodes in Fall 2018. The second season aired in split cours in Winter 2021 and Summer 2021.
The Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken: Guren no Kizuna-hen (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond) anime movie opened in Japan in November 2022, grossing over 1.5 billion yen (approx. US$10.5 million).
Kodansha bundled five original video anime episodes with 12th through 16th manga volumes between July 2019 and November 2020. The three-episode Coleus no Yume (Visions of Coleus) side story anime streamed in Japan last November.
The Tensura Nikki: Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken (The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) spin-off anime aired in Spring 2021. Crunchyroll and Funimation streamed the anime series with English subtitles.
Shounen Sirius began serializing Kawakami’s manga adaptation in March 2015. Kodansha published the 27th volume on September 9. Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken has a cumulative 45 million copies of its volumes in circulation worldwide.
Fuse originally began penning the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in 2013. Micro Magazine began publishing the series under its GC Novels imprint in May 2014, with illustrations by Mitz Vah. The 21st volume went on sale in October 2023.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in October 2016 and released the 24th volume on May 14. The 25th volume is planned for a November 25 release.
Yen Press licensed the light novel in English in April 2017 and released the 19th volume on August 20. The 20th volume is scheduled to go on sale on February 18, 2025.
